the
SANDER
sensation
If you managed to make your way down to Randall’s Island on 9.3.2011, then you are beyond familiar with the musical marvel that is Sander Van Doorn. Performing on the main stage of the Electric Zoo Festival, Sander absolutely destroyed his hour and half long set. This 32-year-old Dutch DJ dropped hits that seemed to just melt from one track to the next with a fluid and flawless transition. The NYC party people were satisfied with an array of bangers ranging from Dirty South’s Alive to Tiesto’s Work Hard Play Hard, and of course a necessary appearance from Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso’s Calling. Just as favorable were Sander’s very own productions including: Love is Darkness ft. Carol Lee, Drink to Get Drunk ft. Sia, and Koko, which definitely pleased the many trance heads scattered throughout the crowd. Needless to say, Sander Van Doorn was not a set to be missed.

However, if you were not able to attend because you happen to be located on the opposite end of NY State, we do have a couple of options for you. The first, if you have not already done so, is to download the Sander Van Doorn Electric Zoo set because we are not going to sugarcoat it for you; the set was incredible. The next is to make your way to The Guvernment in downtown Toronto on 10.1.2011.
This nightclub has hosted some of the most notable names in the industry within its walls such as Tiesto, Axwell, Guetta, and Avicii, just to list off a few.
The Guv’s main room is ranked No. 12 in the world according to DJ Mag, and it doesn’t stop there. Aside from the central room, seven additional nightclubs and bars are housed within, each possessing its own specific theme and decor. Wandering from room to room you’ll find Kool Haus, D’Luxe, The Gallery, The Drink, The Orange Room, Tanja and Sky Bar all offer different musical vibes and atmospheres, depending on your preference.
Having experienced firsthand both Sander Van Doorn live, and the mind-blowing venue that is The Guverment, I can guarantee the combination of the two will be nothing short of a raver’s paradise. And if that doesn’t tempt you enough, the real kicker is that all this can be achieved for a ticket purchase of only $25.00. My advice to you is don’t wait, this Saturday will be worth every single penny and more, so grab your tickets here.
GO KOKO!
AVICII NYE
Were you lucky enough to get tickets to the hottest party taking place in New York City on New Year’s Eve? Tickets were gone within the hour and clubtickets.com crashed as fans overloaded the site. I personally sat on the computer for over an hour as soon as they went on sale at 12 pm, and
refreshed the page until I finally got through. I was one of the few to get the pre-sale price of $60. Within seconds, those tickets were sold out and the price jumped through the roof to $160. Avicii’s manager Ash put out a press release which you can read here, regarding the situation as the concert is currently SOLD OUT.

LAIDBACK
LUKE
Laidback Luke, ranked the #17 DJ in the world, spun for a sold out crowd at Guelph Concert Theatre in Guelph, Ontario on September 19, 2011. The place was sweaty, hot and filled with a room of dedicated Monday night ravers. He dropped his own hits such as Natural Disaster, Turbulence, and My G*O*D (Guns On Demand). A huge crowd favorite was when he mixed Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso's Calling with Benny Benassi ft. Gary Go's Cinema (Acapella). He even satisfied the bassheads when he even dropped some filthy dubstep such as Nero's Promises Remix and Watch Out by Doctor P.
Thanks to LateNite Productions for the best night Guelph has ever seen!
