Changing the World One Spirit at a Time
Who are Spirit Guides?
"In order to walk this journey called life, you must take the first step." Joshua, Faye's Spirit Guide
These are some of my experiences with Spirit Guides.
Spirit Guides are wise, enlightened Spirits, vigilant souls and our best friends. I find that most Spirit guides have had incarnations on earth this is so they can better understand our human condition. They do have names and no, not all Spirit Guides are Native American and no your Grandmother or other blood relative can rarely be your Spirit Guide. But ancestors can assist you in other ways which we will discuss in another issue. Spirit Guides are an energy force that we pick specifically for our life journey. Spirit Guides are here to assist us with our spirits , but Spirit Guides can only do so much. You are responsible for honoring your own spirit and cleaning your own human obstacles. They appear very human and re always loving and forgiving. They actually do have some sympathy for our human condition because often times they have had incarnations here. Alot of people count on their Spirit Guides to do everything for them, and those people often find themselves not getting ahead in their lives and often do nothing at all to change their lives. Many people do not want to take responsibility for the negative energy in their lives and they will look for the answers on the outside when in reality the answers are within the spirit of each person.
In order to completely utilize your Spirit Guides, you must first acknowledge your own obstacles and take responsibility for them. My Spirit guide, Joshua, explained it like this "We are born into a river of life that is meant to flow freely then human obstacles occur and our lives get blocked by rocks (human emotion-obstacles) and then those rocks pile up and our river of life becomes stagnate. in order to have your river flow freely again, you must look at each rock (obstacle ), acknowledge them , accept them and then toss them aside."
The more work you do to clear the human obstacles, the quicker you will develop a connection with your Spirit Guides. The more you develop your relationship with them, the quicker you will get the results they can offer you in your life. The more you open yourself to spirit, the more you will feel your Guides and the more you will become a believer in their existence.
How to welcome your Spirit Guide into your life
Stand in front of your altar, if you do not have an altar I highly suggest creating one but until then just find a comfortable place you can be alone.
Light a candle to inspire light to come join your spirit.
Burn some sage or sweetgrass to cleanse the energy around you. If you can not bun anything then a good alternative is to use a cleansing spray.
Give an offering to spirit. This can be anything from the heat. I often bring my guides feathers or stones I may find or even if I bake goodies I will place them on the altar for spirit to enjoy.
Close your eyes , stand or sit with your palms facing upwards so you can receive energy and say these words:
"I call upon my Spirit Guides to come walk with me, to take my hand and give me the strength I need to see with clearer vision my own life path. thank you spirit."
Take nine deep breaths in , allowing yourself to connect with the core of your body , only focusing on that connection and when you release the breath, see all your stress leaving your body.
Now relax into that energy, you may even feel a sensation in your hand or body and it will feel good.
When you are ready open your eyes, blow out your candle and start your day knowing you have assistance from a very powerful place.

"Faye is the ballsiest,, sexiest, heavy-metal grade, righteous psychic you'll
ever want to meet. At her shows, she regularly makes people gasp in recognition as she
relays messages to them from loved ones passed on. I
credit her spiritual advice and insight for helping get my novel published."
